Alice DeHaven, daughter of Jonathan Hiram DeHaven and Martha A. Kay DeHaven, was born Oct. 4, 1872 near Pleasantville, Marion Co., Iowa and died Mar. 17, 1946 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Clinton Horatio Powell April 2, 1902 at Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Aug. 7, 1877 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Robert Massie Powell and Elizabeth Jane Chiles, and died April 22, 1961 in Creston, Union Co., Iowa. His 2nd wife was Mary Hess Philpot whom he married Aug. 27, 1946 at Troy, Doniphan Co., Kansas.
