Malinda Adeline Campbell was born in Indiana probably on 16 June in 1832, the daughter of Alexander and Rachel (Stark) Campbell. She came to Iowa with her parents sometime before 1850. On 4 Mar 1852 in Marion County, Iowa, she married Andrew Jackson DeMoss, the son of John J. and Mary (Billingsley) DeMoss. They had 11 children, 2 died young.
