Lydia was the daughter of Union Pennell and Amanda S Garcy. She was married to John H. Boyce in 1859 and to them five children were born, four of whom died in infancy, John was the only one to live. She married Bryce Quint on 6 Apr. 1873 in Berrien county, Michigan. They to Carroll, Iowa in 1876. She married Josiah Willey on December 22, 1886 and is buried near him.
