William J. Perkins, son of James Jefferson Perkins and Elizabeth Roath was born Oct. 31, 1861 in Hancock Co., Illinois and died Sept. 28, 1898. He married Katie Kruger who died Aug. 18, 1896 at Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa. He shares the stone with his wife and a brother, Oria Allen (alternate spellings, Ora and Ore) who was born and died in Taylor County, Iowa and a sister Cora Belle. Death Records, Taylor County Courthouse, give Ora's death date as Nov. 18th and age at death as 1 y, 7 m 20 d. If age at death is correct the correct death date is Oct.
