Mary Helen Barnhill, daughter of David Barnhill and Mary Shaffer, was born in Oct. 1847 in Hocking Co., Ohio and died Nov. 30, 1925 near Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Watson Lemuel Newton July 4, 1877 in Taylor Co., Iowa. They divorced in 1903. Their infant daughter, Sylvia Icy was born and died in 1878 in Taylor Co., Iowa. Their son, Harry Sumner Newton, was born Aug. 5, 1880 near Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa and died Nov. 29, 1925 near Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa.
