Ruby Edna Avery, daughter of Joseph Avery and Cynthia Waterman, was born Feb. 11, 1911 at Stronghurst, Henderson Co., Illinois and died Oct. 23, 1975 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She married Leon Eldon McPherren June 29, 1942 in Monterey, Monterey Co., California. He was born Dec. 31, 1910 at Guss, Taylor Co., Iowa, son of Guy Francis McPherren and Rhoda Lee Cusick, and died June 28, 1989 at Knoxville, Marion Co., Iowa.
