Christopher Columbus John, son of William John and Sarah Headlee, was born Mar. 12, 1835 in Shelby Co., Indiana and died Aug. 12, 1915 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Nancy Catharine Ensminger Feb. 16, 1855 at Shelbyville, Shelby Co., Indiana. She was born Dec. 26, 1838 in Shelby Co., Indiana, daughter of William Riley Ensminger and Rowena Rice, and died Jan. 8, 1917 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
