Bedford Cemetery
Taylor County, Iowa

Herman Goodsill, son of Napoleon Goodsill and Marion Hanford, was born about 1874 in Taylor Co., Iowa and died April 4, 1877 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. The death notice (available Taylor County, Iowa gen web site) says that the little boy was buried "among the evergreens at Mr. Goodsill's new residence in the eastern part of town." This may be a commemorative gravestone only or the remains may have been reinterred at a later date in the old Bedford cemetery, perhaps when his sister Grace died in 1881 as the two stones stand side by side.
