Rev. Sumner T Robinson died at home north of Oakland cemetery in Sac City on Thursday September 15, 1921 at the age of 10 days past 76 years.

On the 24th of August 1863 Sumner with his brother Edmund volunteered for the civil war Co. A 7th Indiana Calvary. During a skirmis Sumner was shot through the shoulder.
Sumner and Edmund's father John G was shot and killed May, 12, 1864 in Virginia at the Battle of Spotsylvania.

Sumner was the son of John G Robinson & Adaline Thayer. He married Sarah Tatman on 7 SEP 1871 in Marion Township, DeWitt County, Illinois. They were the parents of Ella, Ed, Harry, George, and Laura.
