Winfield Scott Thomas, son of Hugh Thomas and Mary Ann Tippie, was born Aug. 26, 1860 in Athens Co., Ohio and died Feb. 22, 1945 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Elevietta Rebecca "Ella" Hardee Mar. 3, 1888. She was born Nov. 14, 1866 in Page Co., Iowa, daughter of George Washington Hardee and Keziah Tomison or Tomlison, and died Nov. 9, 1950 near Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa.
