Levi Dunlavy enlisted as a Private Aug. 24, 1862 in Co. B, 30th Iowa Infantry and was mustered out Dec. 31, 1863 at St. Louis, Mo. Source: Roster & Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of Rebellion. He was born June 23, 1843 in Indiana, son of William and Elizabeth Dunlavy, and died Feb. 12, 1889 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
