He gave to decorah, Dunning's Spring Park, Day Spring, Mary Christopher Park and the west 6 acres of Palisades Park and to Iowa, Cold Water Spring and Malanaphy Spring. On his death he gave his eyes to the Loins eye bank and his body to the medical college of the University of Iowa.
