Special note: Although the headstone inscriptions on both facings of this family monument use "Rowntree" for the surname, the death records use "Rountree". The probate file for Henry was filed under "Rowntree", but probate papers personally signed by his widow are clearly written using "Rountree".

Will use the "Rountree" spelling for these entries, with the caution that the headstone and possibly other sources use "Rowntree".
