My great grand father I think might have also spelled his name Fenley. Squire Finley fought for the South in Texas - 36th Calvary K company in Texas. He was a POW and released in 1865 and Mother was from Galena, IL. There was a Fenley family in Hazel Green, IL who were cousins. His wife was Eliza who died in 1922. Their son Was Guy M. Finley from Eagle Grove, IA

Squire Finley's father was Joseph and mother Emily. Owned land in Jo Daviess County in 1848. John Squire Finley/Fenley founded Sinipee,WI -He was a brother to Joseph
