Note: The first and maiden names of this couple are found to have several variations, some of which are understandible, others this contributor just can't reasonably reconcile. This entry is made based on the notes below:


Elliott Davis
Dec. 22, 1826 - Nov. 27, 1882
(note: the inscription engraving appears to have been interpreted by at least one family researcher as "Elliot T Davis"; other sources and a closer look at the inscription appear to indicate that the first name was "Elliott".


Mary Davis
July 29, 1829 - Sept. 30, 1902
(Note: the maiden name is very uncertain. The inscription is "Linn", while her obituary and other sources use "Lynn". The names of her parents have not been indicated in any Davis family group sheets for clarification. A search on Ancestry for census reports do not provide family clarification. Will omit the maiden name for this entry due to the conflicting "Linn" or "Lynn" versions.
