Stone shows obvious deterioration. Surname inscribed on the base: Goodale. Inscription just below the clasped hands reads "We part to meet again". Could not find any additional inscriptions - other sides are blank. A portion of the top of stone appears to be missing.

Per a recording done by Mrs. Dorothy Henriksen for the Cass County Genealogical Society many years ago, the location determines this to be the gravestone of Jefferson Goodale, who died Oct. 29, 1882, aged 79 yrs., 10 mos., 16 ds.
