Francis D. Smith, son of Thornton J. Smith and Lydia Stockton, was born in 1873 in Wisconsin and died Jan. 7, 1946 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Mary Jean Wallace June 10, 1900 at Richland Center, Richland Co., Wisconsin.
