Lucius Rogers was born in Michigan. His parents were Thomas H and Sarah J Rogers. He married Eunice Freeman December 5, 1866 in Bloomington, Indiana. Their nine children: Elsie, Annie, Oliver, twins Elton and Ellis, Abbie, Arthur, Davis and Thomas, all born in Guthrie County near Bagley. Lucius served in the Civil War in Co B 33 Ill Vol Inft which is inscribed on the gravestone.
