George Barnard Pinney, son of Anson Pinney and Harriet Barnard, was born Dec. 25, 1839 in Connecticut and died Oct. 20, 1911 near Sharpsburg, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Caroline Gibson Singleton June 14 1871 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., Iowa. He also has a military headstone.
