Joseph Hall Campbell Shields, son of Wesley Noel Shields and Mary Jane Williamson, was born May 27, 1858 in Hopeville, Clarke Co., Iowa and died Mar. 29, 1933 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Minnie May Walker Mar. 9, 1888 in Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Mar. 28, 1874 in McDonough Co., Illinois, daughter of Amos Walker and Theresa Lovell, and died Sept. 25, 1954 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
