Aged 78 years
William Akey was born about 1818 in Ireland and died Mar. 19, 1896 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Sidney Evelyn Hubbard Sept. 22, 1856 in Portage Co., Ohio. Besides the obelisk stone that he shares with his son Claude, he has a separate headstone.
