Lars Olsen married Anne Olsdatter on 7 July 1838. They lived on the Fønnebø farm east of Uvdal, Norway. In 1853 they emigrated to America with their four children (Ole, 13; Gjertrud, 9; Lars, 5; and Birgit, 1.5). This is according to parish records. Lars later married Maline per county records.
