Samuel D. Churchill, son of Albert Churchill and Harriet Dresser, was born Mar. 5, 1826 in Mentor, Lake Co., Ohio and died June 8, 1912 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. His obituary gives his birth date as 1827. He married Serena Macomber in 1847. She was born Feb. 27, 1828 in Ohio, daughter of Surranius Macomber and Catherine Parker, and died July 16, 1914 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa.
