William Burrows, son of Amos Burrows and , was born Sept. 18, 1826 in Connecticut and died Dec. 6, 1909 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Mary (maiden name unknown) and 2) Emily Johnson in 1865 in Henry Co., Iowa. He enlisted Nov. 25, 1861 in Co. K, 4th Iowa Cavalry Regiment and was mustered out Jun 9, 1862 at St. Louis, Missouri. Source: Roster & Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of Rebellion.
