He married Juanita Mae Wyant Feb. 15, 1936 at Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Mar. 9, 1917 in Ringgold Co., Iowa, daughter of Hugh Bruce Wyant and Glenna Mae Wood, and died Mar. 26, 2000 in Lenox, Taylor Co., Iowa.
