Benjamin Franklin Morley, son of Dennis Walter Morley and Elizabeth Offord, was born May 28, 1843 in Greene Co., Pennsylvania and died Feb. 28, 1926 in Creston, Union Co., Iowa. Source: Iowa, Select Deaths & Burials. Iowa, Cemetery Records, 1862-1999 give the death date as Mar. 1, 1926. He married Ruth Amanda Sharpnack Jan. 30, 1871 in Pennsylvania. He enlisted as a Private in Co. B, 16th Iowa Infantry Regiment Nov. 15, 1864 and was mustered out July 19, 1865 at Louisville, Kentucky.
