Torkel born 28th April 1854 in Uvdal, Buskerud county, Norway. Parents: Nils Larsen Nøstebø and Anne Torkelsdatter (Parish records for Uvdal) - Uvdal was earlier called Opdal. It is in the Numedal valley.
