Jay S. Brown, son of Stillman D. Brown and Hannah Underhill, was born May 31, 1866 in Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 8, 1941 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married Minnie Mae Baker Jan. 27, 1896 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. She was born Feb. 2, 1877, in Conway, Taylor Co., Iowa, daughter of Taylor Baker and Martha Thompson, and died Jan. 22, 1941 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. The death date on her headstone seems to be an error as her obituary was published in the Bedford Times-Press, Jan. 30, 1941.
