George Shum, son of Peter Shum ad Elizabeth Penor, was born Sept. 11, 1855 in Lee Co., Iowa and died Jan. 12, 1941 in Gravity, Taylor Co., Iowa. He married 1) Ada Meritta Bickford Feb. 3, 1878 in Page Co., Iowa and 2) Fidelia Melvina Johnson Shipley May 21, 1923. Ada Meritta Bickford was born Nov. 27, 1859 in Eaton Co., Michigan and died Oct. 4, 1922 in Taylor Co., Iowa.
