Claude Victor Shum, son of George Shum and Ada Bickford, was born Oct. 13, 1880 in Washington Co., Kansas and died Dec. 24, 1944 in Diagonal, Ringgold Co., Iowa. He married Lena Ellen Burright April 5, 1911 in Page Co., Iowa. She was born Mar. 30, 1874 in Oregon, Ogle Co., Illinois, daughter of John Drummond Burright and Emma Catherine Eshbaugh, and died Nov. 19, 1951 in Clearfield, Taylor Co., Iowa.
