Helen Alpha Beal, daughter of Edwin Joseph Beal and Alpha Belle Van Camp, was born Oct. 12, 1902 in Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa and died June 26, 1983 in Mount Ayr, Ringgold Co., Iowa. She married John Paul Higgins Aug. 30, 1922 at Bedford, Taylor Co., Iowa. He was born Oct. 8, 1897 near Maloy, Ringgold Co., Iowa, son of Matthew James Higgins and Loretta Crull, and died Mar. 23, 1960 near Blockton, Taylor Co., Iowa.
