Thomas Kirkwood, 37th Iowa Infantry Co. A, Age 59. Residence Cedar Rapids, nativity Scotland. Enlisted Oct. 9, 1862. Mustered Nov. 6, 1862. Promoted Eighth Corp Dec. 29, 1863; Seventh Corporal Feb. 28, 1864. Died of disease July 25, 1864, Bloomington, Illinois.
