Lawrence was the 2nd of three children born 11 Jun 1890 in Wayne Co., Iowa, to Francis I. Pray and Harriet C. Ewers. His siblings: Francis Marion and Eula. He died in January, 1972 at Millerton, Iowa at age 81.

Maggie was born 28 Feb 1890 the 5th of ten children of Charles Edward Davis and Nancy Jane Hancock. Her siblings: Viola May, Mary Etta, Jesse Dora, Sophia Bell, Earl Lee, Edward Ray, Ira Thomas, Edith Marl and Troy Everett. She died in December 1986 at Chariton, Iowa age 96.

Lawrence and Maggie married on 24 Dec 1908 in Bethlehem township, Wayne Co., Iowa. Lawrence farmed and census records show they lived in Wright township in Wayne Co. They had one son: Ardys Lee.

Both their parents as well as their son and his wife are buried in this same cemetery.
