Silver Star 90th Division 359th Infantry 3 April 1945 Krauthausen Germany General Order 414. Saving the lives of several wounded buddies under withering fire from German positions. Chuck was the mayor of Kimballton in the late 60's and one evening there was a knock on his residence door. When he answered, he was under heavy attack from several teens, firing Roman Candles at his door. Chuck charged and the teens fled. The teens were Christensen, Andersen, Mathiesen, and Norgaard. He became a legend in the area after that evening. A very good man.
