[Email]True Patterson, 90, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died Thursday evening, July 5, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines of heart failure.
Survivors are his wife, Florence, of Colonial Manor in Baxter; four sons, LeRoy, Dale, Ronald, and Wilmer; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, a daughter, and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Patterson, a former Maytag Co. employee, was a retired farmer and Carpenter.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Patterson, he was born May 27, 1900 in Jasper County. He was married to Florence Raridon in Newton.

Funeral services for Florence Amanda Raridon Patterson, 89, died Monday evening at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Survivors are three sons, Dale, Ronald, and Wilmer; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Kathryn Stinson of Newton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Truman, July 5, 1990, three sons, a daughter and two brothers. Mrs. Patterson, a longtime resident of Jasper County, had been a school cook.
The daughter of Ed and Elizabeth Friend Raridon, she was born Sept. 23, 1904. She was married to Truman Henry Patterson in Newton.
