Hendericka's maiden name was Winterboer. _____ Joost Reents landed in America at Castle Garden, Manhattan, New York, on 10 October 1883; he was 26 years old at that time. His occupation was Brewer. He arrived on the ship "America", the port of departure was Bremen, Germany. He was heading for Iowa as his destination. He paid for his own passage.

Thanks everyone for the information. I am related to Joost through his first wife Kea Fredericks. She came over from Germany on the same ship Joost came over on. They had three children: Casjen John Reents, Kurnie Joanne Dockter, and Jennie Giebink. Casjen is my great grandfather.
