Harlan - Nina Mabel Kelley, daughter of John and Meta (Henning) Kelley was born May 28, 1905 at Arcadia. She died Dec. 7,1993 at the home of her sister in Omaha, NE, at age 88 years, six months and nine days. She attended school in Westside, graduating from Westside High School. Shortly after graduation, she move with her parents to Harlan where she became employed at the Harlan Lumber Company as a bookkeeper. She was a longtime resident of Harlan, and faithful member of the Congregational United Church of Christ. She was also active in the Lebanon Chapter No. 8, Order of Eastern Star and card clubs in Harlan as well as tie Business and Professional Woman's Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland and Gerald E. Kelley and a sister Mildred Kelley. She is survived by her sister, Edna Mae McWilliams, Omaha, NE, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10, 1993 at Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan with Rev. C.G. "Gary" Nienkamp of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Harlan officiating. Burial was In the Harlan cemetery with Gordon C. Paulk, Frank “Rusty” Wirth, Lee Sunderland, Clarence McDermott, Roy Baron and Glenn Zimmerman casket bearers. Pauley Funeral Home h charge of arrangements.
