Minnie was born 10 Mar 1895, d/o Willem Alexander Paul Van Dam and Rensje W Peerboom in Utrecht, Netherlands. She emigrated aboard the SS Montrose with her mother and sister to Montreal, Canada arriving 7 Oct 1907 and met up with her father and a brother in Vermont in April 1908 then they moved to Pella, Iowa.

Henry was born 12 Mar 1882, Haarlemmermeer, Noord-Holland, Netherlands, s/o Jacob Van Dyke and Elizabeth Johanna Romers. He emigrated to New York aboard The Maasdam on 16 May 1894 with 3 siblings and met up with his parents and 2 more siblings 5 days later, then they came to Pella, Iowa.

Henry first married Hattie De Witt on 22 Sep 1904 in Pella. She died of TB on 28 Oct 1906. In about 1917, Minnie and Henry married. They had four children: Martin James, Wilma Lucille, Frances J. and Lester R. Henry died 8 Mar 1952.

After Henry died, Minnie married Joseph Eicher. He died in 1972 and is also buried at Newton Union. Minnie died on 21 Nov 1983.
