Pioneer Banker and Real estate tycoon. Originally built "Terrace Hill" which is now the Govenor's Mansion of Iowa. He lost everything in the panic that followed Black Friday in 1873. He then sold his house to Frederick Hubbell, his lawyer.
1827-1912 (should be 1914) His tombstone has been raised and reset.
